This course is designed for the non-practitioner wanting to familiarise themselves with the legal characteristics of a residential conveyance. You will understand the stages of a residential conveyance from the seat of the solicitor and recognise some of the issues that can arise in a transaction.
In this one-day course you will:
- understand the key transactional stages of a residential conveyance for both a buyer’s and seller’s solicitor
- identify the property searches required in a residential conveyance and the issues that can arise from their results
- review a registered title and documents bundle identifying any issues arising
- understand the impact of delays in completion and the remedies available under the Standard Conditions of Sale (fifth edition)
